Amne Suedi Kagasheki
Amne is an advocate who counsels foreign investors, international organisations, governments, multinational companies as well as start -ups on legal issues pertaining to specific sectors in Africa, and in the case of foreign investors the development and expansion of their activities across Africa.
As the Founder and Principal of Shikana Law Group, Amne has a strong track record in finance and corporate law. Her experience includes roles in asset management and the private equity space, including five years as a legal adviser for Capital Dynamics and subsequently Pictet & Cie in Switzerland.
She advises on offshore investments; the optimisation of company structures; wealth and estate management; fund formation and structured products; fiscal law; financial and securities regulation within major financial markets; and other legal considerations around financing, financial products and cross-border company law.
Amne has served as an adviser to both the East African Community and the World Trade Organisation. She has a clear understanding of the dynamics of regional integration, particularly as it relates to economic law, as well as international trade and bilateral and multilateral negotiations. She is well-versed in conducting high-level mediation with government ministries and other agencies on behalf of her clients.
Amne holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Law from the University of Geneva, from where she graduated with honours. She read her Masters of Law (LL.M.) in International Trade and Financial law at University College London. She speaks English, French, Kiswahili and Spanish.

Yusra Suedi
Yusra Suedi is a principal at Shikana Group and in charge of research and development. Suedi is a specialist in public international law and human rights.
Suedi’s areas of expertise include the law of treaties (treaty drafting and interpretation), international law of the sea (including maritime delimitation), territorial disputes, international human rights, international criminal law, international humanitarian law, international environmental law and WTO law.
Suedi is currently a Ph.D. candidate in public international law at the University of Geneva’s Law Faculty. Suedi speaks English, Kiswahili, French and Arabic.

Tax Adviser
Joseph Waziri
Joseph Waziri is a tax adviser at Shikana Group, where he advises on tax legislation and the impact their impact on businesses.
Waziri has more than eight years of experience providing tax and business advisory services in agriculture, public sector, telecommunications, finance, insurance, mining, energy, retail, and tourism and manufacturing industries.
Prior to Shikana Group, Waziri worked as a tax manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in both Tanzania and South Africa.
Waziri holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Mzumbe University, an ACCA Fundamentals Certificate, and has undergone an advanced course in Value-Added Tax from the University of South Africa. He is fluent in English and Kiswahili.

Diana is an Experienced Advocate with more than four years in the legal system. Diana possesses a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Training from the Law school of Tanzania and a Law degree with (Hons) from the University of Dar Es Salaam. Her area of expertise dwells in Contract Agreements, Employment and Labour matters, Banking Finance, Commercial Property, Corporate transactions, Intellectual Property, commercial and corporate law, Corporate Restructuring, Project Finance, General Legal Advisory Work, Mining Law, Telecommunications Law, and Conveyance. Diana has vast experience in handling of corporate, employment and labour matters and company secretarial works for prominent companies like Ethiopia Airlines, Kenya Airlines, Swala Oil and Gas Tanzania (Plc), Volt Graphite Tanzania Limited, Aviagen East Africa Limited, Tanbreed, Amref Flying Doctors Limited, Arusha Meadows Limited, Brown and Holding Limited, Equity Bank Limited ,USA limited, Stanbic Bank Limited, Commercial Bank of Africa, Azania Bank Limited among others.

Hawla has five years’ experience in the legal industry. She began her career as a volunteer/intern in magistrate courts and summit Attorneys at Dar es salaam, and has supported clients in respect of employment rights, security, education, and social services.
Hawla continues to offer her expertise and assistance by advising clients on TIC & EPZA registrations, business set-up operations, immigration and labour matters.
Hawla holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Dodoma and a Post-Graduate Degree in Legal Training and Practice from The Law School of Tanzania.

Iddi Kassi
Drawing on his time working in the National Attorney’s office, Iddi has wide experience in legal research, particularly in respect of government regulatory and policy changes. His areas of expertise and interest include Gaming Laws, Natural Resources Law, Tax Law,Banking Law, Intellectual Property Law and Capital Markets and Securities. Iddi is currently studying for his bachelor’s degree in Law at the University of Dar Es Salaam.
